How to reach Modena

Modena is well connected to Europe by high speed trains (direct trains from Zurich, Paris and Munich, very frequent trains from Milano, Bologna and Rome) and is 30 min from Bologna Airport (BLQ) and Verona Airport (VRN). Through trains, it is also well connected to Milano Malpensa (MXP), Milano Linate (LIN) and Roma Fiumicino (FCO). For those coming by car, Modena is also a node of the Brenenro and Autosole Highways.

By plane

The closest airport is Bologna (BLQ), which is about 40 km from the School location. From there, you can reach Bologna train station by taxi or bus, then follow the “By train” step (below). Otherwise, you can take the shuttle service that connects the airport to Modena and get off at the “Modena - Vignolese Università” stop.

By train

See the Trenitalia website for trains reaching the Modena station. Once thre, the bus connection between the train station and the School location consists of two lines that connect the bus station and the railway station to the University headquarters:
1) line n. 7/A (destination “Gottardi”) - Departure: “Stazione FS” (train station) stop - Arrival: “Gottardi” stop.
2) line n. 9/9A (destination “Gottardi”) - Departure: “Stazione FS” (train station) stop - Arrival: “Gottardi” stop.
For more information see the SETA service website.

By car

Exit: Modena sud. After the toll, turn right on Via Vignolese, and continue straight for about 1O Km. After the first roundabout (intersection with the ring road), turn right at the first street (Via Gelmini): you will find the University buildings after a few meters, on the left.
