The Modena ELLIS Unit hosted a local edition of the ELLIS Sites ICML Fest 2026, an open and collaborative event dedicated to sharing cutting-edge research in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

About the Event

The ELLIS ICML Fest 2026 – Modena Unit is part of the ELLIS Sites ICML Fest 2026 (formerly called the “Pre-ICML Fest”), a decentralised series of poster sessions hosted by individual ELLIS Sites across Europe in the weeks around the International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML) 2026.

The event brought together researchers in Modena to discuss cutting-edge research in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Artificial Intelligence. This local gathering offers an opportunity for the Modena ELLIS community and surrounding research ecosystem to connect, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations in an open and engaging environment.

Participants presented posters featuring their most recent work – including accepted ICML papers, workshop contributions, and related AI research published in major venues (e.g. CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, etc.).

Programme

The Modena ICML Fest featured:

  • Poster presentations of accepted ICML 2026 papers and related AI research.
  • Informal discussions and networking opportunities among academics, students, and industry partners.
  • A vibrant exchange across topics such as Vision-and-Language, Multimodal Learning, Generative AI, and Scalable Intelligence.
