The Modena ELLIS Unit at the Researchers’ Night 2025

On Friday, September 26, 2025, the Modena ELLIS Unit will take part in the Notte Europea della Ricerca with a dedicated stand hosted by AImageLab, the Artificial Intelligence laboratory of the Department of Engineering “Enzo Ferrari” at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

The stand, titled “Il laboratorio AImageLab: un mondo di AI tra ricerca, applicazioni e cambiamenti”, will guide visitors through an engaging path of interactive demos, posters, and presentations covering the lab’s main research areas:

  • Surveillance & Human Analysis
  • Bioinformatics and Medical Imaging
  • Gaze Analysis
  • Handwritten Text Recognition
  • 3D Analysis

With over 60 researchers, PhD students, and research fellows, AImageLab is one of the largest and most active AI research centers in Italy, with a strong track record in national and European projects. The presence of professors, senior researchers, and students will ensure an open dialogue with the public, providing both accessible explanations and technical insights into how today’s AI research is shaping the innovations of tomorrow.
