The Modena ELLIS Unit at the ELLIS UnConference and EurIPS 2025

The Modena ELLIS Unit will actively participate in this year’s ELLIS UnConference and EurIPS 2025, two major events gathering the European and international AI research communities in Copenhagen, Denmark, from December 2–7, 2025.

Held at the Bella Center, this joint event brings together leading researchers, students, and innovators to exchange ideas and present cutting-edge work at the intersection of machine learning, high-performance computing, and multimodal AI.

As part of the program:

  • Together with CINECA, we will present the Modena Unit’s activities within the MINERVA project, focused on advancing AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) integration.
  • Davide Bucciarelli, ELLIS PhD student, will present his paper “What Changed? Detecting and Evaluating Instruction-Guided Image Edits with Multimodal Large Language Models”, accepted at ICCV 2025.

The Modena ELLIS team will also showcase “vHector and HeisenVec: Scalable Vector Graphics Generation Through Large Language Models”, recently accepted to NeurIPS 2025, during the EurIPS conference.

The ELLIS UnConference (December 2) opens the week with a community-focused event featuring workshops and poster sessions showcasing recent top-tier publications.
From December 3–7, EurIPS 2025 offers a European stage for NeurIPS papers, creating new opportunities for collaboration and dissemination of world-class machine learning research in Europe.

“EurIPS is about lowering barriers and broadening access. By creating a space in Europe for NeurIPS papers to be presented, discussed, and built upon, we’re investing in the kind of scientific exchange that shows the strength and diversity of the European research ecosystem.”
— Serge Belongie, President of the ELLIS Board

We look forward to contributing to this vibrant week of AI research and collaboration in Copenhagen.
