ELSA Network Expands with Fifteen New Members

The European Lighthouse on Secure and Safe AI (ELSA), a Network of Excellence dedicated to advancing trustworthy and safe AI research, has announced its expansion with the addition of 15 new members across Europe.

This growth strengthens ELSA’s reach and expertise, bringing together universities, research institutes, and ELLIS Units committed to excellence in areas such as AI Safety, Security, Machine Learning, and Human-Centered AI.

Among the new members are eleven ELLIS Units, further consolidating the strong ties between ELSA and the ELLIS network (European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems).

The new ELSA members include:

  • Czech Technical University in Prague (ELLIS Prague)
  • Fundación de la Comunitat Valenciana Unidad ELLIS Alicante (ELLIS Alicante)
  • ELLIS Unit Delft
  • Friedrich Schiller University Jena (ELLIS Jena)
  • Graz University of Technology (ELLIS Graz)
  • IDEAS Research Institute (ELLIS Warsaw)
  • Johannes Kepler University, Institute for Machine Learning (ELLIS Linz)
  • Institute for Systems and Robotics IDS (ELLIS Lisbon)
  • Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ELLIS Vienna)
  • Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores – Instituto de Desenvolvimento (ELLIS Lisbon)
